The exclusive generating force for the creation of the Social Cooperative Enterprise of KREITTON for Integration is the Non-Governmental Organization ARSIS K.O.Y.N.
During 2019-2020 ARSIS Youth Support Organization implemented, in cooperation with the Municipality of Thessaloniki and the support of the Organization Doctors of the World΄΄ ,the program “RESTART” with the funding of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (ISN).
During the implementation of the “RESTART” program, comprehensive social care and support was provided to beneficiaries who belonged to the Special Social Groups and were certified by the social services of the Municipality of Thessaloniki or the services of the Open Day Care Centers for the Homeless.
During the development of the “RESTART” program, ARSIS KOYN, with 28 years of experience in the field of social solidarity actions and a legally certified provider of social care services, established an Initiative Group for the establishment, organization and operation of a business organization K .ΑΛ.Ο. (Social Solidarity Economy) and submitted a proposal to the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (ISN) to financially support the project in its first steps.
The Initiative Group designed the KREITTON KOINSEP and promoted the formal and substantive founding procedures.
At the beginning of 2020, the participation of 6 mandatory founding members, former beneficiaries of the “RESTART” program and an equal number of non-mandatory members, ARSIS executives, specializing in the development areas of the new body is proposed.
The Stavros Niarchos Foundation (ISN) approves the financial support of the new institution (one-year installation rents, one-year staff salaries and initial installation costs) with the donation of € 75,000.00.
On 14/4/2020 the Statute of KREITTON KOINSEP is approved and registered in the Register of Social Solidarity Economy.
